Composers: Charles Amore
Charles Amore began his music studies in high school then received his Guitar Honours Diploma at the Canadian Academy of Music. He then went off to the University of Toronto and studied Classical Music and Philosophy and later Arranging and Composing under the instruction of Gordon Delamont. Twentieth Century Harmony (Persechetti), Acoustical Foundations of Music (Backus), Electronic Music Synthesis (Howe) and Harmony (Piston) were also added to his list of academics.
After his studies, his performing career flourished from working with rock bands such as Beth to Country (Black) and Jazz-Fusion (Invaders). He brought his knowledge back to the classroom and taught at various institutions including the Royal Conservatory (Avenue Road House), Fame Productions, Twelfth Fret Studios, Agincourt Music Academy, Music Masters Education Centre and now in his own teaching and recording studio at Amore Music. Today he hosts a catalogue of over 500 original compositions and is writing educational material and songbooks for Mayfair Music Publications. |
